NYC Ferry offers daily ferry service to riders in waterfront neighborhood across all five New York City boroughs. NYC Ferry connects job centers, outdoor space, cultural institutions and recreational destinations.
Plan ahead
- We reserve the right to refuse hotel and activity change requests made less than seven days prior to arrival.
- Passengers who have not boarded or who are not ticketed and in line 15 minutes prior to departure may have their tickets released to standby passengers.
- The next ferry won't be able to continue your ride unless you have booked space first.
- Public ferries to the Boston Harbor Islands operate from May – October.
- For those that do not, public restroom and shower facilities are available.
Cancellations past this deadline may result in 100% forfeiture of the full payment amount, depending on the individual hotel or attraction’s refund policy. To confirm and purchase your ticket you will need to insert your data and submit the payment as last step. Reservations are required to sail on the Cape May - Lewes Ferry; book travel early to secure your spot.

Any reservations must be claimed at least 30 minutes prior to departure to avoid cancellation. View the Best Times to Travel tool which will tell you the busiest and least busy times to take a vehicle on a ferry. If your vehicle is not called for the current ferry time, you may choose to remain on standby for the next ferry.
Rain and cloudy conditions will not cancel sailings and no refunds will be made. All cancellations and refunds must be requested in writing by email. For all requests and questions received by email, please allow 24 hours for a response or 48 hours during weekends and holidays when we are not operational. Once in the park, enjoy access to visitor amenities, a variety of regularly-scheduled public programs, and self-guided activities. Tickets are not timed, and you can take any ferry to return. Allow at least 4 hours out of your day for your visit including the ferry ride.
Sailings are subject to the vessel Captain’s discretion, including regular scheduled ferries and/or charters. Rarely are sailings cancelled for reasons other than mechanical problems with the vessel, severe weather and/or heavy seas. Should this occur a full refund will be made when sailings are cancelled by the Captain.
Baggage carts are driven from terminals and parked on the vessel car deck to offer assistance. All Reservations must be canceled 7 days in advance of departure date to receive https://www.frs-systems.de a refund, at which time you will be assessed a $12.85 cancelation fee per one way reservation. Cancelation within 7 days will not be eligible for a refund.
Scheduled sailings may need to be cancelled from time-to-time as a result of severe weather conditions, mechanical difficulties or other unforeseen circumstances. Vehicle reservations for fall (Sept. 22 to Dec. 28) will be available at 10 a.m. Learn about our travel agent program for Northern and Central Coast sailings. If you have boarding cards and make a change, you must check in at the ticket office upon arrival to have new boarding cards printed. Passengers wishing to book space for passenger vehicles have until three hours before the scheduled vessel departure time to make a reservation, depending upon availability of space. Daily standby signup begins each calendar day one hour prior to the first ferry departure time that day.
Our online reservation system makes it easy to book vehicle reservations for Nantucket, as well as passenger reservations on our high-speed passenger ferry to Nantucket, which operates seasonally. Black Ball Ferry Line will not be held responsible for any adverse financial impact you may incur due to your credit card company’s selection of exchange rate. Credit card transactions processed in Canada can be processed in Canadian or American funds. Non-refundable reservation fees are charged in addition to ferry fare.

Catalina Express continues to operate round-trip service to Catalina Island from our Long Beach, Dana Point and San Pedro terminal daily. Gorgeous scenery and the history of the island is fascinating. Clean restrooms and after a couple of nights, even the cold showers are pretty good.
